Most people think they must live where they were born.

Wrong.

The world is LARGE.

If you are not happy where you are, you can find a country that values you.

But…

You need a real world picture of what to expect in other countries and legal systems.

You’ve seen the Bali content. Beautiful beaches, cheap living, remote work paradise.

What they don’t show:

  • The traffic is terrible

  • The paperwork is a nightmare

  • Some areas are expensive as hell

  • Good luck figuring out healthcare and banking

I will tell the truth about moving abroad.

Visas, taxes, healthcare, banking, the daily things that you need in a new place. If something works well in a country, I will tell you. If it’s a nightmare, I’ll tell you that too.

Moving abroad can be incredible. It can also go wrong fast if you don’t know what you’re getting into.

Do it. Just do it right.

Start here

To make your move abroad easier, I’ve put together a simple guide.

The Move Abroad Checklist

20 practical steps to prepare before your move, from documents and banking to health, lifestyle, and tech. Going through this will make your idea of moving less scary. Because there is nothing in this list that you can’t handle. Trust me.

👉 Download the checklist here

It’s free, and it will save you time, stress, and mistakes.

And if you are drowning in options and you can’t decide which country is right for you, I built a decision tool, which is super easy to use.

The Expat Country Decision Kit

The Expat Country Decision Kit is a 240+ page framework that takes you from:

I have no idea where to move‘ to ‘Here are my top countries and why they fit

👉 You can get it here.

The Kit will save you weeks of unnecessary research, so you can focus on your move, instead of watching the same YouTube videos over and over again.

Important

You do not need a new passport to move abroad.

For many people a visa or residency is enough for years.

It lets you live legally, open bank accounts, sign leases, and build stability.

You can look at citizenship later if it truly helps.

Why Listen To Me?

Let me give you a quick run-down.

I grew up in Germany.

I left Germany after high school in 2008, and stayed in Australia until 2010.

Then, I studied abroad in the UK and Spain until 2013.

I worked in China while studying in 2014.

2020, I left Germany permanently and immigrated to Cyprus.

After a year in Cyprus, immigrated to the UAE in 2021.

I created companies in both places (I already created guides on how you can do the same).

Also, I hold two e-residencies (Palau and Estonia) and created a company in Estonia.

I left the UAE for Thailand in 2022, where I now hold a long-term golden visa.

I opened a company in Bangkok (my first “non-digital” company). We opened a Chinese tea franchise in the biggest shopping mall in Bangkok.

I total, I have lived long-term in 8 countries, visited around 50, and hold 6 residencies around the world.

During this time, I opened numerous companies (same failed some succeeded).

I’m not writing this to show off.

I want to explain that I know what I am talking about, when it comes to visas, taxes and moving abroad.

I built this life step by step and I share what works.

My Focus

My work is organized around six core themes that give you everything you need to live and work beyond borders.

News
Monthly briefings on global mobility. New visa launches, policy changes, and rule updates. I summarize what matters and explain how it affects the paths I’ve already covered.

Residency
How to get legal status abroad. From short-term visas to long-term residency and citizenship options, including timelines, fees, renewals, and rights. The goal is to help you file the right thing at the right time.

Money
Simple and practical frameworks for tax residency, compliance, and financial structure. I explain how countries test for tax residence, what to report, and how to legally keep more of what you earn.

Places
Choosing where to live, long term. I compare safety, cost of living, healthcare, schools, and community so you can find a country that fits your life, not just your spreadsheet.

Guides
Your practical toolkit. Checklists, prompts, templates, and resources you can actually use, from moving prep to cost-of-living estimates and setup checklists.

Products
Digital tools and apps that help you move, plan, and make smarter global decisions, including the Move Abroad Checklist and the Club Citizen app.

If this speaks to you, welcome. You are in the right place.
